Lambda Theta Alpha is the FIRST Latina sorority in the nation that was geared to cater towards the needs of women. The primary focus was to offer a support group for other first generation college Latinas.  

Forty  years later LTA is stronger than ever with chapters from coast to coast; continuing to provide a support group for young women of all ethnicities, networking opportunities, leaderships skills, community involvement and creating the leaders of tomorrow...

But more than anything LTA offers a sisterhood that truly lasts a lifetime. 

Lambda Theta Alpha recognizes the importance of reaching out to others and forming a united coalition of professional, diverse, culturally and politically aware women. We are not an exclusive group of women and believe that all women alike should be given an opportunity to make their mark on the world. This is our right and our profound legacy.
